Three letters I don’t enjoy, SEO, also known as search engine optimization, as a blogger, I really don’t like spending time on it, thankfully WordPress has great SEO built in.

However there is always room for improvements, and I do my fair share on my blogs, and trying to do more I came accross this amazing video from WordCamp 2009 San Francisco where Matt Cutts does a great talk about WordPress SEO.

There are thousands of plug-ins for WordPress, some that almost everyone uses, some that nobody uses, but how do you know about which ones to use from the middle of the pack?

Unless you’re looking to fill a specific need, it’s not easy to know what’s out there that could be good for you. Well we found this video to help you figure out what could be good:

Title: WordPress Vs Thesis Interview

If you haven’t heard about it, there’s a big debate between Thesis and WordPress, and the GPL, and should Thesis be free.

There may even be upcoming legal action.

Watch the video and pick your side, it’s pretty clear in our mind that Matt is correct on this one, and Chris is using some very interesting words and not answering the questions directly.

Most of us know where WordPress is at right now, and some of the things they have in store, specially with WordPress 3.0 coming up. But what about longer term, and other plans they have.

Mashable landed an interview with WordPress founder Matt Mullenweg at WordCamp San Francisco last week.

We speaks about the demise of Ning and how buddyPress, his solution for communities, can help those folks who are left wondering about free alternatives. He also talked about how WordPress plans to compete with Tumblr, the status of the nonprofit WordPress Foundation, acquisition plans in 2010, WordPress’ focus on themes and even his favorite non-WordPress blogs.
