Finally WordPressOfTheDay.com will not shut down!

I reported last week that we would be shutting down, however I’ve decided not to do this.

I will however be changing the design of the website with something more simple, and will be focused towards themes, there will be a new theme every day.

I’m looking for a new design right now, and should have it up and running by the end of this week, I’ll keep all the old posts so you don’t have to worry about losing anything.

It’s been a great run, but unfortunately I just don’t have the time to continue updating this website, so I’m forced to shut it down.

However there are several options I would like to offer you.

The first is the Twitter account that was started for this website (WordPressOTD) will not only remain active but be even more active, and will bring you the latest WordPress Themes, Tips, Tricks, News, Plug-Ins as they happen, and this domain will eventually be redirected to the the Twitter account.

Another option is to sign up for my personal website (JamieNorthrup.com), where I often share WordPress and other blogging related posts.

Thanks for all your support and don’t hesitate to contact me for any questions or suggestions.

Nokia is the number one selling mobile phone brand on the planet, so it’s only normal that WordPress would develop an application for Nokia handsets. Considering they came out with iPhone, BlackBerry and Android ones, and all three together don’t even come close to the number of handsets that Nokia has out there globally.

They have plug-ins for social media, galleries, e-commerce, media, newsletters, auctions, and many more.

If you haven’t heard the great news for WordPress and it’s users from earlier this week, well Windows Live Spaces are being migrated to WordPress.com within 6 months.

As of right now Windows Live Spaces users are being encouraged to migrate to WordPress.com accounts, and with an easy importer to bring over all the posts, comments and photo, a lot of new users will know and be in the WordPress community.

In total there are over 30 million Spaces users that could potentially move over, although they may not all come, I’m sure the majority will since if they don’t in 6 months they will lose their data.
