Title: 10 RSS Hacks for WordPress
Often ignored is ones RSS feed, but it’s important not to as a lot of people won’t visit your website, they will just read your content in their RSS reader. Smashing Magazine released an interesting post almost 2 years ago that is still valid today.
The hacks include controlling when your posts are available via RSS, redirecting wordpress feeds to feedburner feeds, inserting ads to your rss feed, formating your images for feed readers, providing your readers with a feed for each post, excluding a category from your RSS feed, displaying any RSS feed on your WordPress blog, using category specific RSS feeds, listing RSS feeds by category and getting rid of RSS feeds the clean way.
There are plug-ins to do most of these things, but they show you the coding way to do it so that you don’t need to have massive amounts of plug-ins running on your blog.
