Title: Design & 3 Places to Get it!
Most people will agree that content is key, just like when you watch a movie, the important thing is that the movie is good, but unfortunately you can’t always know before hand if you will have wasted time watching the movie, just like you won’t know before reading content if it will be good.
A lot of people will judge a movie by what the cover of the DVD case looks like, just like a book, and also like a website or blog, if someone loads your site and it looks horrible or it doesn’t load properly a lot of them will just leave to never return. However if it looks nice, clean, appealing, intriguing or a bunch of other adjectives, chances are they will give your content a chance, and sometimes even a second or third chance if the first post doesn’t interest them.
I am the first to admit I don’t have the skills to be a great web or graphic designer, but I surround myself with some people that are, if you don’t know any you can find some all over the web, by searching for freelancers or specifically graphic designers, you can find some good affordable solutions for your website.
Here are 3 places I have found people to design for me:
1 – FreeLancer.com
This is an obvious place to look, it’s one of the biggest marketplaces for freelance workers to meet clients, and for clients to post jobs for freelancers to offer their services.
2 – Kijiji
I used this one a few times for projects I wanted to specifically meet the person I was going to be working with, this way I could find local companies and people.
3 – eBay
They say you can find anything on eBay, which is almost true, but it’s great for cheap quick jobs, specially for something like a logo, I have had at least 7-8 logos bought off eBay and have always been satisfied. Make sure you check the sellers portfolio and feedback first.
